Custom Offshore Explosion Proof Power Units

Throughout our 43 year history at Hyseco, Inc., our custom hydraulic manufacturing services have played a vital role for clients in the offshore industry. A customer needed an explosion-proof power unit, and contacted us because of our reputation and experience in custom power unit design and fabrication.

Employing our expert team of hydraulic specialists and certified welders, we constructed this unit with our state-of-the-art equipment using premium quality materials. These included A36 plate, structural steel, and a variety of explosion-proof components. Our team of experts employed a broad range of processes, including welding, manual turning and milling, and finished with three part marine epoxy paint. The finished unit measured 36” x 24” x 52”, and was built completely to our customer’s specifications. It had a 20 HP explosion-proof electric motor, 460 volts, 1800 RPM, and a 10 GPM 3000 PSI piston pump. The unit also featured a 40-gallon hydraulic reservoir and was skid mounted with oil retention and lifting eyes.

Quality is essential to us, and we ensured that this unit would operate at the highest levels of performance with full pressure and flow testing. We completed the customer’s initial order in its entirety within our quoted lead time of 6 to 8 weeks, and our client was impressed with our results. The quality and prompt turnaround times of our work inspired this customer to order an additional three units.
